Hey everyone! I need help!!!
I got a P965t-a motherboard, But it will not do anything. I don't know why! My power supply is new, and everything else is new. I don't need a power supply with pci express connections on it, do I?
This is the power supply I got: http://www.jpaccomputer.com/500powersupply.htm

My board might be doa. Can someone post pics of how exactly to connect this board. I have a Jpac 411 platinum case. I don't know if I can get a new one. I don't have a receipt!!!!!!!!!!
HELP!!!!

Hey
Try checking all the connectors, I think this board needs a 24 pin atx and an 8pin atx power connectors in order to work. Not sure if this is the same exact board that you have but go Here, if this is the same board youll have to get a new psu as your one dosnt have an 8 pin atx connector.

Yeah, I don't think it can run with a 4 pin. Do you think I need a power supply with the pci express 6 pin hook-ups. There are no spots for them. I think I'll buy an Ultra power supply. It has a lifetime warranty. Thanks and more thoughts would help!!!

I found out my board was DOA!!! If you're looking for a good, reliable Sli gaming motherboard, this is not it. Try Abit or Asus. I'll sell the new board I'm gonna get in exchange for the DOA one on Ebay. If you want it, let me know. $70.

What are you talking about? You can use a 4 pin on this mobo. I should know bc i encountered the same problem. Keep the psu, i repeat: KEEP it. It's probably just a bad egg mobo.

My PSU was dead!!! I bought a new one, so I'll try that.

when i first bought this mobo..i used stock PSU with 430watt which already came with my stock case too, and i only used 4 pin ATX connector, and it runs perfectly..although this stock PSU has bad reputation in my country...coz it's cheap and not powerfull, but still can run for me

But since i had plan to improve my pc, i replaced my stock PSU with better PSU, i bought Codegen 480 watt dual rail 12V (it's very stable with system now),which has 8 pin ATX and 24 pin ATX connector

I was using a cheap 500 watt power supply that came with my case. I decided to buy a 600 watt dual rail, high performance PSU. It also had a multi color fan, so it looks cool too!! Hopefully it was just a power issue and not a motherboard issue. I'll find out next week.
