Following a third visit to the house, the TW installer's supervisor found
that the cabling was done incorrectly by the installer. Frustrating as it
was, this is how the coax cable needs to be done: Coax out from the wall to
the cable in connector on the DVR box......Coax out from the DVR box (cable
out) to the VCR coax cable IN connector on the VCR.......Coax out from the
VCR OUT to the coax IN connector on the TV. This is in addition to the YPP
cable from the HDTV to the DVR box for high definition. Also I have the
red/white/yellow cable on the DVR to VCR connect and.......the
red/white/yellow cable from the VCR out to the HDTV input 1. Some of this
cabling seems redundant. I hesitate to pull the red/white/yellow cables
since it is working now. But I'll give it a try.

I pulled the red/white/cabling from the DVR/VCR/TV in/outs with no loss of
playback/record on the VCR. It would seem that TW could get it right on the
DVR instruction booklet they hand out where they do not use coax, but the
red/white/yellow cables. But that is how we got it to work, and I ain't
messing with it anymore.
