Is getting the E6700 worth the $100 price difference compared to the E6600? Is there any advantage other than having a higher stock clock speed? With the new price drops the E6700 is actually only $30 more than what I would've paid for the E6600 a week ago so I'm debating whether I should go with the E6700 or get the E6600 and save myself $100?

E6600 = 9x multiplier
E6700 = 10x multiplier

If that is worth it to you, do it. If you're running a 333 MHz bus, that's an extra 333 MHz or 11 %. What are you going to use the machine for? If the answer is gaming, internet browsing, etc. go for the 6600 cuz for desktop applications and even games, you won't notice the 11 % difference. If you're into video editing/transcoding or 3D rendering, I'd say get the Q6600 since the clockrate isn't as important as the # of cores (assuming your applications are multithreaded).

Just my 2 cents.
