I can't. i have morals and won't degrade myself to switching to intel. There is nothing wrong with intel but I'm an AMD guy.
April 23, 2007 10:13:03 PM

Oh my, an AMD fanboy.

I cant even look at u.. for shame!
April 23, 2007 10:13:45 PM

seems pretty darn good to me.

are you sure you dont wanna go over to intel?

may i know what your moral is?? cause it has got to be pretty darn good not to move over to intel's current line up.

either way its a good set up + a 2900 and it will be one crazy machine :)
April 23, 2007 10:26:11 PM

One night i was mugged by this guy that i looked like he had an intel.
April 23, 2007 10:29:13 PM

I have never been an intel person.thats all.
April 23, 2007 10:29:58 PM

lmao

okay then...enjoy your amd set up.

question: what about a dvdrw in there somewhere? not that its gonna make any difference to the performance.
April 23, 2007 10:33:25 PM

if you can link to a cheaper but better intel with 4 ddr2 pc6400 slots and one pci express slot or more. then i'll think about switchen
a b U Graphics card
April 23, 2007 10:36:55 PM

An AMD PC on a $2k budget. lol. :D
April 23, 2007 10:41:22 PM

whats so funny. The amd motherboards seem better but the intel processors are better.damn you crappy marketing.for the price i mean. I don't want any intel people going off on me.
April 23, 2007 11:42:40 PM

lol, yeah that was athlon vs pentium 3

not x2 vs core 2 duo :p

oh and i have no idea about the mobo's prices in the states so im guessing someone from there will lend you a hand with that.

If your only using 1 graphics card, then why need 2 PCI-E slots? Bragging rights?

"Hey, check out my computer with 2 PCI-E slots! Yeah, but Im so cool, Ill just use one!"

Intel E4400+Gigabyte DS3 P965+Scythe Infinity+Overclock=Kick sand in the 6000's face and make it cry all the way home to mommy AMD.
April 23, 2007 11:48:39 PM

what about this board? Gigabyte GA 965P DS3P (2 pci-e)

its roughly the same price in the UK, dunno about ur side of the world.
April 23, 2007 11:54:42 PM

i was thinking about the future when i was looking at power supplies.i also didn't want to spark an argument. The video was just a joke. And blade that motherboard is pretty nice.
April 24, 2007 12:04:53 AM

i put the rig together for an intel.it only cost like 50 dollars more.but are there any good xfire intel motherboards.

Crossfire is a waste I think personally. Same with SLi. Not going down either one of the roads to only expect a maximum of 35-40% gaming performance for another card. One 2900xt should be fine, and we don't even know how those hold up.
April 24, 2007 6:33:35 PM

crysis makes crossfire or sli seem necessary.

hahahhaha

and even though you like AMD why loose cash, its like saying i like Hyundai thats why i wont by a better car for the same price,
if you are willing to put 2k in a system make it worth the cash, if i had the cash i would so be with C2D

we have no idea what crysis requires..
April 24, 2007 7:37:30 PM

is the x2900xt being pushed back to q3 too.If so i may want to go with the 8800gtx.
April 24, 2007 7:52:44 PM

well it wont be bad, after all the its not like the GF8800GTX is a weak card
April 24, 2007 8:03:52 PM

are they pushing the x2900 back though.
April 24, 2007 8:23:25 PM

what are they thinking?
April 24, 2007 10:16:34 PM

if i buy an 8800gtx would it be more useful to play with it then sell it to a friend(or Foe if need be) and buy a x2900xtx.or should i stick with the 8800gtx.
April 24, 2007 10:19:22 PM

that depends on the price/performance ratio of the ati card. If its higher, then sell the 8800 off, otherwise keep it.

they are pushing the xtx back, not the xt (at least thats what fudzilla say).
April 24, 2007 10:42:07 PM

so wait a few weeks if no xt then i should buy the 8800
April 24, 2007 10:45:50 PM

2900 XTX is Q3 but why buy a 2900XT when you can probably get the 8800 GTX for same price as that when it comes out.

Also I suggest getting the X2 5600+ since you got a Zalman cooler and 6000+ doesn't OC well and runs hot at stock.
