I can't. i have morals and won't degrade myself to switching to intel.There is nothing wrong with intel but I'm an AMD guy.

either way its a good set up + a 2900 and it will be one crazy machine :)

If your only using 1 graphics card, then why need 2 PCI-E slots? Bragging rights?

the mobo i posted says it supports crossfire in its description. what i dont know is if that goes to 8X in crossfire mode or stays 16X

Crossfire is a waste I think personally. Same with SLi. Not going down either one of the roads to only expect a maximum of 35-40% gaming performance for another card. One 2900xt should be fine, and we don't even know how those hold up.

if i buy an 8800gtx would it be more useful to play with it then sell it to a friend(or Foe if need be) and buy a x2900xtx.or should i stick with the 8800gtx.

that depends on the price/performance ratio of the ati card. If its higher, then sell the 8800 off, otherwise keep it.

they are pushing the xtx back, not the xt (at least thats what fudzilla say).

2900 XTX is Q3 but why buy a 2900XT when you can probably get the 8800 GTX for same price as that when it comes out.


Also I suggest getting the X2 5600+ since you got a Zalman cooler and 6000+ doesn't OC well and runs hot at stock.
