Emergency, which motherboard/ram combo to OC this!

I originally planned on getting the qx6700 as it has an unlocked multiplier but with the q6600 at 500 bucks I think i can take the .26 ghz hit. So I plan to just overclock my q6600 to 2.7ghz. I have chosen a motherboard that I think will work but need help on choosing ram because this doesnt have an unlocked multiplier i need more expensive ram right? anyways here is my mobo:

Doesn't really matter the speed, but here's some good ol' corsair ram:

Good timings, good speed, and good price (after rebate that is). So...your choice really.
  2. Q6600

mine is in the mail from zipper by the way so this is based on the qx6700

at 1330 fsb the chip runs cool and a good air cooling system will work fine at a 11x multiplier the chip runs slightly hotter at a lower fsb and 10x multiplier

the qx run best at 3.325ghz based on this the q6600 will run best at 3ghz

since e6600 run best at 1500fsb and 3.47 ghz i could be wrong and the chip will run faster then 3ghz

what do i mean by run best? above those speeds you get only small boost in speed for much higher boost in temperature - that means you getting some form of leakage or energy being converted in to heat instead of cpu calcualtions.

the lower the temp the faster the chip will run so water cooling (if the water is cooler then air cooled temp) will allow you to run any cpu faster - use a chiller on the water will increase the speed too.

i would use a p5n-e mobo as your low cost, or p5w-dh as your wifi and remote cool mobo and any good 965 based chip set if want high overclocking
    -----------

add heat sink to the p5n-e sb and fan to nb and use a memory coooler see below:

antec 900 with p5n-e e6600 3.37ghz - case cut to reroute psu wires and other wires

patriot ddr 800 4-4-4-12 works great with this mob so does many other brands its $125 after rebate, i will be trying g skill later this week 2 types, corsair works all types
    --------------

    run ddr 800 2.1-2.15v patriot 4-4-4-12-1 ddr800 2.08v, nb V auto
