Hi there,

just wondered whether anyone has ever heard of a so-called IST or interrupt service tree. I found some information on this topic:
interrupt model.
Since i'm not to familiar with these technical aspects, i don't really get the general idea. My guess would be that an IST is some sort of abstraction that would make it easier for programmers to create drivers, by removing some of the details of the hardware interrupt mechanism. However, I don't know what the IST has to do with this...

Any help?
