My spec is in my sig, id really really appreciate if someone could tell me if im setting the voltages too high, im running @ 3.0 Ghz( Confirmed in cpu-z ), my mem is @ 2.1v which should definately be ok ), but ive set the 3 dram settings to +20mv in the bios, is this ok?

Also ive set the CPU VTT to 1.25 volts and HTT1.2v to 1.4, NB to 1.4 and SB to 1.5, all the options are disabled( like spread spectrum etc. )

ive also adjusted the ram to 5-5-5-15, CPU-Z info is:
Frequency: 400Mhz
FSB:DRAM 15:16
5-5-5-15
Trc 22 Clocks
Command Rate 2T

I just want to make sure that nothings too high, or if im setting something stupidly? It overclocks to 2.9Ghz whitout requiring and funky voltage settings( just mem, NB & SB ), but for 3Ghz it requires a lot of messing, im assuming its not enough power?

Many thanks for your help

usually .1 over is safe on most area's of the machine, CPU, SB & NB.

1.3-1.4 isnt anything dangerous, I'd raise the fan speed as much as possible for the NB and watch if not fit a fan onto the SB as well.

anything much more and your going to want some type of active cooling

Excellent, thanks for the advice, unfortunately the P5N32-E doesnt have a fan on the NB though 8O which sucks, but ill probably add one later & to SB, for the moment ill take your advice and keep the OCing to .1 or .2 of the minimum settings and stick at 2.9Ghz.

Temps wise @2.9 CPU maxes out @ 45Degrees Celcius and mobo is at 41Degrees running Orthos mem & cpu stress test for 20 minutes. My case has 2 rear fans and 1 front and im running it with the side off, so i presume that 41degrees for the mobo is ok?

41C....not bad, you start hitting mid 50's and you need to reconsider
thanks, great to know its not at a crazy temp :), i dont think ill overclock it anymore without fans on the NB & SB, dont want to take the chance

dude
set your ram to 4-4-4-12-1 and crank the volts to 2.15 if you have to if u have problems go

4-4-4-12-2

or

4-5-4-12-1 or 2

or 4-4-4-14 mess with it

5-5-5-15 with cl4? that means 4 not 5

i know its 'supposed' to be CL4 but if i use CL4( 4-4-4-12 ) on 2.1v with stock settings( no OC's whatsoever ) it was hanging, backing off to 5-5-5-15 sorted that. TBH im thinking of sending them back if they dont work by default at CL4, not much point paying extra for timings it cant do
