hi guys, iv noticed that superfetch is a neet program and is great for those non demanding applications, but for gaming it another story, it slows it down and almost renders the alt-esc feature usless. 8O
so anyways heres how to temperarly disable it,
- push alt-ctrl-del
- go to the service tab
- the click on the services botton
- find superfetch ( under name)
- right-click... properties
- from here it self explanitory i find this help the preformence of the ram for gaming
Superfetch is only one of the tenths of services I killed before trying some gaming. Killing software licensing was a mistake though. I couldn't validate my windows anymore and the control panel stopped working.
I'm thinking about doing a list of services like it was done for XP years ago. For those gaming on a budget or those like me that don't need all the crap that comes on by default...
Maybe it's too early, but I'll consider it. Don't know if there are differences between RC2 and the final version. Most definitely yes.
