Look at the cost of Treo 600 through Palmone ($349 with 4 accessories
included)

http://web.palmone.com/products/co [...] id=1156692

and Cingular ($499 without any accessories)

http://onlinestore.cingular.com/we [...] AreaId=SBC

Both are with 2 year contract.

How does one buy the phone from PalmOne and add it to the family plan with
Cingular? The PalmOne site does not allow for such addition to the plan.

By the way, this huge price differential is there even for a user buying the
phone for it's own stand-alone plan. In other words, the phone is more
expensive from Cingular regardless of the plan chosen on the Cingular web
site.

Sold without a contract the Treo 650 is the same $599 as the Treo 600.

The local Cingular store folks said that the phone will be available first
off the Cingular web site. I'm afraid that Cingular will charge the same
higher cost for the 650.

I don't mind the 2 yrs contract. I'm trying to find the best way to add the
650 to my family plan (as the 3rd phone).
