Network suddenly stopped file and print sharing.
I can ping each machine and router. Router consists of a Linksys WRT54G v2.2 wireless router. Firmware is current.
It does not matter if the network is wired or wireless status remains the
same.
In network neighborhood the Desktop can see the Toshiba, but cannot access any files on the toshiba.
-Desktop error message reads: \\Toshiba is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The network path was not found
The Toshiba and Dell Laptop can not even access the workgroup (tried to
access using My Network Places, View workgroup computers).
- Dell and Toshiba Laptop error message reads: 40100 (the workgroup) is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.
Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access
permissions. The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently
available.
IP config information for each computer is as follows
DESKTOP
C:\Temp>ipconfig/all
Yes I have one user name and password that is common to all machines. Also do not see how this would have affected all three machines at the same time. Never had a problem until a couple of weeks ago.
