I want to know whether it is possible to configure trunk ports for multiple vlan propogation on a DES-3828 and secondly can it route traffic between different vlans because it says that it is a multilayer switch?
If anyone has configured this switch i would really appreciate help regarding this.

You only got one switch, why create trunk ports? Yes, you can route between different vlans on your multilayer switch.
