Recently, my Shuttle PC went dead. The motherboard went dead and still have no idea why. The important thing is the files in my hard disk which is set to Raid 0. The controller is ICH6/R by Intel. My question is will I be able get my files back if I get a new motherboard which has a raid controller by Intel? Must is be the same ICH6/R?

As far as I know, RAID volumes created on the ICH6R are forward compatible with the ICH7R and ICH8R, but I'm not positive as I've never tried it myself.

If nothing is wrong with the drives and it was only the motherboard that died, you can also recover the files pretty easily using RAID Reconstructor and GetDataBack for NTFS. See runtime.org for details.
