do i have enough power for my 8600gts

i have an xfx 8600gts. i have vista ultimate. games freeze then return. i also get abut 5200 in 3d mark 06. i have a dell power supply from my dell E520. i have the newest drivers. i wonder if the psu is too small. it is a 350 watt but dell doesnt realese actual wattage so it is about 450 with dual 12+

please help

that could even be the motherboard, 450 should be enough but it really depends on the rails.

do you own the vistas license, you could always try a reinstall as sometimes its just buggered up.

Did you upgrade your power supply ?
The E5xx series comes with a 305w/22 amp psu. I don't know the power recommendations for the XFX card but the EVGA Superclocked only calls for 18 amps and is being used by quite a few people without problems.
