Does anyone know why the HDMI input on JVC D-ILA monitors is converted to
analoge and then converted back to digital before being displayed?

Some technologies require an analog signal to drive them.
Like Plasma and LCD require analog to be the last step.

Whereas DLP can use a full digital signal path all the way
through the display.
