Does anyone know how to reduce the size of the icons on vista. Im at 1920 x 1200 res and i tried everything i could think of but their still big as they are at lower resolutions whats the deal? under display and icon you can change the size there but it has no effect, whats the fix? anyone know? Other than that Ive had a few software issues, older stuff that worked fine under Xp like roxio cd burning software not working and it dont like my Lexmark printer the 5200 model, but its time to upgrade that sucker anyway...Thanks
Try clicking somewhere on the desktop. Hold down CTRL and move the mouse wheel backwards (or forwards). If you dont have a mouse wheel Right-click the desktop, point to View, and then click Large Icons, Medium Icons, or Classic Icons. Classic are the smallest.
WIndows Vista is capable of displaying Icons in high resolution upto 256x256 pixels making it easier to design your own custom icons. If creating your own icons interests you there is a free program called IcoFX which can help you to do this its easy enough to use and better still its free.
