Hello all,

I'm planning my new build and i hear that this OS is RAM hungry so my question is, is 2GBs enough ram or should i get 3GB - 4GBs?

Thanks!

I haven't hit any walls with 1 gig, but I know 2 would be beneficial. I'd say 2 should be enough for a while, maybe a couple of years or so.

Yeah, I currently have only 1GB but planning on upping to 2 when I upgrade to Vista. You have to also consider 3D gaming too, if you play any on your PC. With that said I may go up to 2.5, I don't know.

Even with moderate gaming, I have had absolutely no problems on 2G. That should be enough unless if you want 4G with the 64Bit installation.

I've had the same experience myself. I may go up to 4 gigs if I decide to run 64 bit vista after SP1

Just a heads up I found Corsair PRO LED 800 mhz PC 6400 modules at Fry's .com for 239.99 for the 2 gig kits (5-5-5-12). They say special order, so I think it might take a little longer to get them but it's a great deal. http://shop4.outpost.com/product/4776319;jsessionid=LQfJFYqDCPQ4oCzlYelHuA
