Been away for awhile and need to get gaming again and thinking about an upgrading as I have a new 22"LCD can you give me your 2 cents

Have a S panel 22" LCD @ 1680 X 1050

What gpu should I be looking for this Resolution (playing mostly New RTS (CC3, 2TotalWar, WH40k & more) and just a little FSP shooters & 3rd action)

Pay up and Go with the 8800GTS 640mb
or save a few with the 320mb
or just a little scratch to decent dx9 card (7900GS/1950pro).

As said already wait for r600 then decide.

If not go for the 640mb g80 atleast.
