Soory I am a little new at the Pocket PC, I have a question on
Bluetooth COM ports.

There is an incoming COM port and an outgoing.
I have 2 COM ports avaliable (COM2 and COM7)
I made my incoming COM port COM7
and set my BT GPS on COM2

Teh problem is now I have no COM ports left.

How do I assign another COM port to my Active Sync without deleting my
COM2 from my GPS and and putting my activesync on COM2?

Is there a way to add more virtual COM ports with the Pocket PC?

Thanks, Ed,

the easiest solution to your need is to use a wifi sync... set the
partnership up with usb, then sync via wifi on subsequent connects.

You don't need to configure any COM port on your Pocket PC for ActiveSync,
but Bluetooth on your Pocket PC does not allow multiple outgoing serial
connections. You can either use ActiveSync or GPS at any time.

What model Pocket PC are you using? Check our Bluetooth Guides (link below)
for different configurations.

The basic rule is the same: you configure ActiveSync on your computer with
the Bluetooth Incoming port *as defined on your computer*. Then on your
Pocket PC you use the Bluetooth manager to create a shortcut for ActiveSync
and use it to establish the connection when needed.

Well it all works fine except there is only one avaliable COM port to
use for outgoing (COM2) and each time I change between devices I have
to go Settings > Bluetooth > ComPorts remove the GPS and add in my
laptop used for Active sync...then if I want to go back to the GPS I
have to go back to the Settings > Bluetooth > ComPorts remove the
laptop.

I am disconnectong my GPS before I try the BT activesync...but still I
have to manually disconnect it in the COM settings and add in the
laptop.

Thanks for the feedback.
