I have built my new system which it is made up of:
ASUS P5W DH Deluxe
core 2 duo e6600
2*1024GB corsair RAM
ATI Radeon X1950XTX 512MB
300GB HDD Maxtor
After turning it on and installing Windows XP Professional SP2, I tried to open the CD that came with the motherboard but it wouldn't open, i also tried to open any other application and it wouldn't open either!.
Messeges like "it is not Win32 valid" are showing up.
I realy don't get it! What's the problem?
Do I have to install Windows XP e64?
I'll be very thankful if you help with this problem.
The hardware you have is 64bit capable, but will have no problem running XP Pro 32bit.
Sounds like you have some non-critical corruption (you get the desktop).
Do a Repair install & report back.
Pop in the XP cd - restart - boot to the cd - hit Enter at the first repair screen - hit R at the second repair screen. DO NOT BOOT TO THE CD on the next two restarts.
Incompatibility is not possible. Only two companies in Japan make cd players for the mass market. The drivers for them are native inside of every operating system from Windows 3.1 through Vista.
More likely it's malfunctioning. Put in a new one.
