I'm made new comp and installed x64 edition of XP professional.
I noticed a few wierd things

1) The create new folder icon on the menu on where you decide to place your downloads does not function!!

2) Scrolling up and down a long webpage is very slow. It takes time for the frames to move.

3) Same with moving the typing cursor, it's pretty slow.

Could anyone explain the above? My new computer specs are shown below:

E6600
P5B DELUXE
ASUS EAX1900XT
SEAGATE 7200.10 BARRACUDA 250GB
ENERMAX FMA2 535watt psu

Assuming you installed all the drivers from the mobo cd?

Also check out this 64bit ATI driver at the Asus site:

http://support.asus.com/download/d [...] 0%20Series

Click VGA and go down to XP 64bit.

Thanks for the reply.
Just to make things worse I have now encounted more problems.

the left shift key on my keyboard also functions as backspace... whilst my right shift key will type "|" when i just press it...

I can't find the run command like the one in windows xp 32 bit...

With all that corruption, start over!

Pop in the XP cd - restart - boot to it - Hit Enter at the first Repair screen - hit Enter at the next Repair screen.

Delete the existing partition - then install fresh. When complete, install the mobo cd drivers - chipset first.
