I have a Dell Axim X50v (ROM A04) running Windows 2003 SE. On my Windows XP
Home PC I have Activesync 3.8

I have found a repeatable problem with activesync locking up my PDA.

If I have the PDA in the standard USB holder then everything works OK. If I
then remove the PDA from the holder I am still connected via a WIFI network.
I can then do a manual sync from the PDA and this syncs with activesync on
my PC. This works fine.

I have then set the PDA to do a sync every 5 minutes under the "Mobile
Schedule" settings on the PDA.

If I leave the PDA and wait 5 minutes the automatic sync will happen as I
expected. After this point the PDA has locked up. The green LED continues to
flash on the PDA to show Wifi is active. If I press a key the backlight
comes on, but the screen is blank. The only way to get the PDA back is to do
a reset.

Has anyone else seen this? Is this a bug with activesync on the PDA?

Thanks,

Matt

I've had the same problem on the excact same configuraion. I also have
the problem that when I try to install programs onto the PDA, these
programs' setup hangs on the PC. If I look in the task manager of my PC
I can see the setup.exe file running, but nothing happens. I've also had
problems with Bluetooth, in the sense that if the connection is
interrupted for any reason, the PC will not respond to the PDA's
connection attempt again until after reboot, but then again I suppose
that's not really a PDA problem ;)
