Hi.

I'm trying to troubleshoot my wife's iPAQ 5500 - it is unable to
connect to our new home wireless network.

My LOOX connects fine, so the network's OK.

The problem is that the 5500, while detecting the network in
Connections > Connections > Advanced > Network Card, doesn't pop up
the "detected new network" dialog.

I've backed it up and done a hard reset, and the popup appears, and
allows me to connect correctly. Restoring the backup, however, reverts
to the original problem.

I'm very reluctant to rebuild the machine from scratch; does anyone
know what registry settings govern the automatic detection of wireless
networks, so that I can delete the incorrect settings and get the
machine to recognise the network?

Installed Pocket Boingo, which also doesn't list the network for
selection. I believe this to be a registry problem.

TIA,

Darren
