Error loading systeme

I had this trouble with Nvidia Nforce 4 and more recent motherboards

A8N-E
bios: 1013
512mb Apacer PC3200
amd Athlon 3500+ Venice
Western Digital WD1600JS-00MHB0 SATA2
DVD lite-on shw-160p6s
SPI FSP-350-60THA
EAX300SE 128mb PCI-E

When the computer boots, i get: Error loading operating system. I tried Opt1, opt2 on sata hdd,cleared the cmos, flashed the bios. With a fresh installation it doesn't work, with another hard drive (sata 2 western or seagate) it doesn't work except with SATA1 hdd.I even tried it on another A8N-E board. There is still the loading system error.

is there something that will make it work except changing the disk to a sata1?

The problem is very likely your RAM, was in my 'error loading operating system' experience. Use different RAM and your problem is solved.
