I know that some journalists have their paws on the 2900XT and XTX... but I'm really interested in the midrange. The 8600 is joke, so the only midrange priced Dx10 product out is the 8800GTS 320.
Are the HD2600 cards being passed out at the event for journalists? Been searching the usual sites, but everyone is consumed by the 2 XT benchmark articles.
I'm with you. It is not like everybody got 300$ in their pocket to burn. I'm looking for something close to $150 to $200 max, something like HD 2600xt.
What looks intersting to me is the rumored X1950 pro replacement. The 256-bit RV670. This is what the HD 2600 XT should have been!
I agree, the RV670 looks quite interesting. I would rather not spend my money on a 128 bit card, like the 2600's are rumored to be. Since I'm not in any hurry to get a DX10 card, I will likely wait to see the RV670 in Q3. Unlike Nvidia's 8800 cards, ATI should have very good Vista drivers for the RV670 in Q3!
