Pulling My hair out - Help with Op Flashpoint GOTY Mission..

I am currently playing the 'Game of the Year' edition of op flashpoint and
I am at the section of a mission on Red Hammer, where you have to re-fuel
the Hind and fly off to where you get it repaired then destroy the Vulcan
and M60s prior to picking up a squad and flying off to Arundy.

My dilema is this... As you fly to the repair zone a 'cut scene' comes in
and a cry for help from stranded soldiers in a village asking for help from
you comes up on the screen.
When this cut scene ends my Hind is upside down, inches from the ground and
either crashes and game ends...'You are dead', or it floats to the ground
and the rotors continue spinning as if it is flying normally, but you can't
do a damn thing with it.

Now I am assuming that this is a 'bug' or 'glitch' in the programming, but
I can't seem to find a 'patch' or similar fix that deals with this.
Can any of you guys help??

Many thanks in advance

Rooster.

My son asks if you have the Red Hammer campaign patch?

Does this happen every time you try the mission? Or just sometimes?

I played Red Hammer, and I don't remember having a problem with it.

This may or may not help: Try saving the game right before the cut
scene--that way you can play it a few times. There's a tweak that allows
you to save the game as many times as you want. Just press and hold the
"Shift" and "minus symbol on the number pad" at the same time, then type
SAVEGAME. You'll save your game, and you can reuse this anytime you want to
save.

If you can't fix the Red Hammer problem, you could just skip the mission and
move on with the rest of the game. To do this, use the "Shift" + " KP -"
again, but this time type ENDMISSION. You'll end that mission and move on
with the next one in the campaign.

Hope that helps.

(I'm not sure if the Red Hammer patch was included with the GOTY edition of
the game, but I used the Red Hammer patch, and I don't remember an issue).

Thanks for the reply...I have to say though that I don't think so. I went
onto the oFp web site and loaded the patch that was on there that was
specific to the game, (Op Flashpoint), but I couldn't find one for 'Red
Hammer'.
I will have another looksee for one, but if you have a specific link i
would be obliged.

Many, many thanks to all who have assisted me in this. It is obviously a
glitch in the prog, which by trial and error I have managed to overcome
by hitting 'retry' and then the "W" key, (speed) as soon as the game
restarts then "Q" for elevation.
The Red Hammer patch was already loaded in the GOTY edition so it didn't
really help.
Once again many thanks, now all I have to do is blast them damn
tanks...LOL ;-)
