Hello, thanks for any help you can give.

I have several hard drives. I just installed a fresh copy of Vista on a new Raptor drive, and so I want to keep that drive reserved for the Vista OS and my program files. I'll keep all my personal files "My Documents" on a separate drive.

Thus, I want Vista to make that 2nd hard drive the default for "My Documents"/User Documents (Pictures, Music, files, etc). How do I change that path from the current default ( C:\Users\Perzdogg)?

Thanks again...

You have to move all the invdividual directories that Vista has (Video, Music, Documents, etc.) separately (or, at least that's what *I* did.

First, create a new directories on the second hard drive for all them. (e.g. "D:\Users\<user>\Music". Then go to Vista's current Music directory and right click on it and go to Properties. Go to the "Location" tab and there you'll see where you can put in the new pathname. When you hit Apply, it will immediatly move everything from the old directory to the new directory.

That works for everything but the 'Public' directories. How do you move them? It has the box and says you can change the location, but you can't type in the box.
