Screen Saver kills USB mouse

Hi, I have this rare issues, it doesn't happen all the times when the screen saver comes in and I try to move the mouse, my mouse is dead. I can just replug the mouse and it works, but why is this happening? and it is annoying. This computer is joined to the company's server and using its group policy

Second what type of mouse is it?

Are you using MS drivers or the appropriate drivers??

Its an IBM mouse on an IBM machine

The device is probably set to turn off to save power. Go into Device Manager, Properties on the Mouse. Make sure its not checked to disable device to save power.
