You can get the OEM version for $200 on Newegg. Gives you the same software and operating system, just a little bit different liscensing parameters.

Not an Upgrade, but you can treat it like one. Just pop in the DVD when you're ready to use the system and off you go.

I have had to buy three, yes THREE, f*cking 360s because M$ wouldn't fix my first one with a dead Samsung drive because I scraped the sticker off while I was puttinga faceplate on. The second one had the same problem but this time they sent me back the same 360, STILL BROKEN, and they did it TWICE. Then they refused to fix it! M$ can kiss my ass!

There are two kinds of computers that you will see widely used today are 32-bit and 64-bit. These bits refer to the addressing capability of the machine. A 32-bit machine can address a 32-bit memory space meaning 2^32 bytes or 4 GB.

A 64-bit machine can address a 64-bit memory space. I suppose that's
around 16 exabytes or something like that. It's the rediculous amount
of ~ 10^19 bytes

In a nut-shell a 64-bit machine is better. If you are purchasing Vista now it probably means that you are upgrading an installation of XP. You will probably need the 32-bit. Post your PC specs here and I will tell you for sure.

woo hoo more power to the keygens i used 1 for rhino and 1 for maya 6
a bit off topic but the chepest ones ive seen were on ebay home premiums for 100 and ultimates for 150-200

64-bit is better in theory however the support/software is <32 bit.
Very few programs stilll 2-3 years later are written in special 64-bit versions to use the capability fully. Similarly most programs aren't written to fully utilize dual core. My point none. $200 on newegg isn't bad. In a month or two I'm picking up academic versions.

I must have accidentally posted a new topic on this because I dont see my reply. But, where is a safe place to torrent vista? and what are the punishments for getting caught with it? Personally I just want to download it and see how it runs my current programs and games, and If I like it ill buy a genuine version. if not, ill just trash it.
