i have a very low-end computer
its an Emachine T2862
processor: Intel Celeron 330 2.66Ghz
memory: 256 mb ddr sdram :cry:
2 free pci slots
I really dont have the money to get a new computer

so what is a recommended PCI graphic card for games such as 2D/3D-ish games?
(also im planning to upgrade the memory to 2gb)
my budget is about $100

An X1550 would be the minimum choice IMO, don't expect miracles from it though, it will be interface limited, but currently you're also CPU limited, and definitely memroy limited.

Here's the X1300 on a better rig;

The X1550 may let you use some features more than that review, but your CPU will hold you back on framerates for many tites. Expect some stuttering gameplay.

Or some of the newer contenders for the PCI market.

X1550 86.99 after MIR

If your dont going to SERIOUS gaming, maybe just watch some Movies, play some games from 2000-2005 the X1550 is probably ur best choice with in your pricerange.

Or you could just go for the cheapest of the bunch ATI 9250 same stuff just alot less powerful and doesnt support SHR 3.0 and HDR like the X1550 does.
