I just got vista on friday,
I did a clean install and everything seemed to work fine

there didn't seem to be any problems besides FEAR running a little slow

But then I got the message
"dll module loader has stopped working",
windows gives me the option shut it down,
when i do about a minute later, BSOD

EDIT: If I just leave the alert alone, nothing happens

This has happened three times now,

the first time windows said it was Firefox but i don't see how Firefox could cause that.

Programs i have installed:
FEAR
Firefox
Limewire
Spybot S&D
Adobe Production studio
Quicktime
X-Fi beta drivers

I would greatly appreciate any help

Do you use wireless networking? I was using an older USB Linksys wireless NIC and kept receiving this error even with Vista drivers. I upgraded to the USB Linksys wireless compact NIC and the problem disappeared. It may be an error concerning communication on your network in some way.

Yes I do, I have the D-link DWL-AG530
I had it in my computer when I installed vista and it just worked
Vista recognized it as "Atheros wireless network adapter"
I've tried to use its driver disk but it does not work and i can't find anything about the AG530's vista compatibility.

Anyway, i'll take it out and try to reinstall it.

I tried reinstalling mine a dozen times. Even though it was always with a Vista driver, it apparently wasn't "Vista enough". Now, with my new wireless NIC that is spec'd for the same speed as the old one, Vista is superfast and hasn't dumped on me once. Linksys is slowly becoming my nemesis...

Test it one day by removing the card and see if it dumps. That may help narrow it down.

Yep, it was the wireless card.
It seems D-link only has beta drivers for their wireless cards

Im thinking of getting the Linksys WMP54G or the NetGear WG311T
as they both work with 64bit according to the vista compatibility thread.

Any input?
