m posted prior about Process running on statup and got good link to check out
what starts in Windows. But I wanted to check one item and hope someone can
tell me. I opened Startup screen Via MSCONFIG and one of the items on
startup is
a little weird. The item starts with what appears to be "oriental script"
followed by the following "HKCW\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWSNT\CURRENT\" I an
trying to figure out what this is and do I need in as a start up progam when
windows starts. Thanks again for all the help.. Ray

The first part of it, the "Oriental script" is the item or application
making the call and that is the key to whether or not you need it. Since it
is unfamiliar, I'd be wary. Start by making sure your antivirus software is
up to date and run a scan on your system. Also, make sure your system is
clear of any malware, download, install and run Ad Aware:
www.lavasoftusa.com.

If your system is clear of viruses and malware, you might just uncheck the
item, reboot and see what happens. If you have no issues, I'd try running a
search on this item in Windows Explorer to see if you can find a related exe
which might give a clue as to what application is associated with it. You
might also check the startup folder on the start menu for any similar
references as that might give a clue as to the application.
