Ok first of all sorry if i should post this in another hardware thread (memory?), but here it goes.

On my last mobo (an asus one, s939, forgot name) i could see in bios(or when booting, not sure here either) if i was using my memory in dual channel or not.

With my current motherboard i havent found anything like that, ive read the manual to see if i missed something but nothing, kinda just hooked everything up. =)
When i boot i can see some text flashing by real quick but i never see what it says, if i disable quick boot in bios it still just flashes by but after it has checked the memory.
Is there any way(3rd party?) i could look and see if my memory runs in dual channel?

Should i upgrade my mobo to get some more features?
I have always been an asus fan but went with msi on this budget build.
Im so clueless when it comes to mobo's so any help would be appreciated, ty.

CPUZ

What features are you looking for in a mother board?
The board you have is good board that bring a good number of features. It supports RAID 0/1/0+1/5.

Wohoo ty, i was using dual channel, hehe.

I was more thinking of if i should get a mb with an nvidia chip and whatever that brings along, concerning monitoring my gfx card.
Still the p965 is more then i need feature wise and an upgrade to nforce-X would be very expensive.
I mean i just want some of the features to ntune to work on my mb. =/

Ok....
If i read CPU-Z right, my memory runs in 400MHz i thought they were supposed to run in 800MHz.
I have OC'd my cpu some if that helps.

Whats up, lol?

I wouldn't really call that an upgrade. Intel's 965 chipset outperforms both the 680 and 650 in just about every application. I recommend for you to stick with what you have.

CPUZ is showing you the base clock of you memory. Because it is DDR (double data rate), you have to multiply it by 2 to come up with the effective clock speed. In your case that is 800mhz.

Yeah ty just noticed it in BIOS running at 885MHz, seems about right.
I will probably stick with this mb a while, it does the job still. =)

Thanks again.

Edit:
My old mobo forced my memorys to underclock when running in dual channel, i had to set the clock manually for it /shrug
