Help me here lords!

I'm buying a P5LD2-SE mobo wich is DDR2 533/667 dual channel.

The price of RAM DDR2 800 almost the same of DDR2 667.

If a put a DDR2 800 in this motherboars, it'll work as a DDR2 667 ?

If yes, will be automatic or I'll have to do something ?
Can I get errors later ???

Thx !

in general it should work ...but I do not think it will work with 667 but on 533 and it might read only half of your value...for ex if its a 1 G ddr2 on 800 it will see 512 on 533 ...and it might give you trouble on boot after a while.....Im talking by my own experience and not reading from the walls ...the solution I followed in the last ...it was to change on DDr1 on 400 cause my mo bo suported both DDr2 and DDR1 ...but not in the same time .....so after I realized that they do not make DDr2 on 533 since a couple of years...it was the best solution I got ... and indeed it works on automatic from bios setings ....beware ...when I tried to put it on 667 it just wouldn't want to boot ...I was forced to reset the bios by removing the battery to make it boot as it wanted....
