Memory problem, please help!

I just bought P5B Premium with 4 gigs of memory Crucial Ballistix from Newegg.
I got 2 channels, when i insert memory in the first channel comp does not even boot up and dont work, when i insert in the second channel, it works fine
Basically, first channel of 2 slots dont work at all.
Is it mobo's problem? please help.
Any input is appreciated.

4 of them the same and expensive second channel is working fine with one or 2 memory, first channel does not work with the same memory.

I would RMA your motherboard. Sounds like a manufacturing defect.

It seems like such a simple question . . . I'm sure you verified the **Qualified Vendor List* and don't have a problem with speed, single-sided, double-sided, chip size on the stick, etc . . .

test each stick of ram
mem test

then turn down the settings and try all of them
