As for the software, have you installed the latest 8.2 deluxe service pack? Under the Help menu, select ScanSoft on the Web, and choose get latest update. For now, this is the only way to install the service pack with this version of PaperPort.
Sorry, but it didn't work for me! I have Paperport Deluxe 8.0 and the directions on the site you gave me won't work with it. For instance there is no vision folder or scansoft folder when you follow the directions to install.
Sorry it didn't work out, but that was the best I could do. I don't normally troubleshoot Visioneer scanners, because I think they are junk in comparison to peripherals from other manufacturers, so I don't sell them.
