I cant find my damm ultimate cd, but my friend has basic. If i use the ultimate key will it give me ultimate lol>> please help

No I don't believe it will. Check torrent sites for a vista download.

If I'm not mistaken, you can use an Ultimate cd with a basic key to give you basic, but not the other way around. sorry.

actually yes you can - ever version is on the same dvd - just pick the version you got and enter your key and it will work (as long as it is not an oem dvd)

If you can get the torrent RTM and then activate using your ULTIMATE key it should work.

PotGoblin is right. First, make a copy/copies of your friend's DVD and give the original back to him. You don't want to lose his copy. :wink: Then boot from the copied DVD. When installing you'll be presented with the list of versions. Just make sure you pick the version that matches your license.
