Hello...

I'm considering a budget laptop and got very similar price for laptops featuring T1400 and T2060. I'm confused which one would give a better overall performance.

T1400- 1.83 Core Solo, 2MB L2, 667MHz FSB

T2060- 1.60 Dual Core, 1MB L2, 533MHz FSB

Any suggestion would be much appriciated. Thanks in advance.

If those are your only options the T2060, since it's a dual core.

The Dual core chip seems the better choice :)

The T2060 is the best choice out those two, especially if you plan on doing any rendering or editing. The dual core cpu can handle the regular workload.but will still let you surf the net, play games,or run a virus scan.

Definately take the T2060.

I own a laptop with a T2060. It is by no means competitive with the X6800, but it is a nice, cheap dual core processor. Go for it!
