fairly new pc stoped working twice!!!

ok heres the deal, every time i turn my pc on it loads up windows xp home edition, then the screen will go blue and it sais this...
also for a while it had disk cheaking errors..

STOP: C0000218 {registry file failure}
the registy cannot load the hive (file):
\system root\system32\config\DEFULT
or its log or alternate
it is corrupt, absent, or not writable

begging dump of physical memory
physical memory dump compleat


it has been working fine for a while then it does this...
there are some specs i could find

You're going to need to post the system specs. Off the top of my head you might have a video/audio issue, you could be over clocking, bad BIOS settings or the hardware is setup wrong?

I want you to keep in mind that this is the Windows Vista section of Tom's so next time you post put it in the correcr place. Here are some more questions for you...
1) Did you read those 2 links I posted in my last reply?
2) How much RAM does your system have you listed 8MB and that does not jive.
3) Do you have two monitors or is that a mistake?
4) How long has XP been on that system before the error started?
5) What is the story of your hard drive and how is it setup?
6) Is this the main board that your using...

Corrupt registry entries usually means either a repair or reload of Windows is your only option.
