device manager

my e6400 cpu does not show up in device manager. it shows up in the bios, and it shows up in the system information screen that lists your computer name, memory installed etc. it does not appear in device manager and task manager only shows one cpu. this is an intel core2 duo processor. system works good just doesnt show up in device manager in windows xp sp2. any help?

not sure if any of that matters really.

however you can always do a repair off the xp cd.

have you tried letting the device manager check for hardware changes ?

pscowboy or grumpy would know better wait and see what they say first
