Asus K8V SE Deluxe and compatible CPU's

I have bought on Ebay an athlon 64 3700 acronym ada3700aep5ap and have uncovered that it is a matter of one CPU engineering sample with unblocked multiplier incompatible with my MB Asus K8V SE Deluxe.
Now I am offered a CPU with acronym ada3700aep5ar that should be the standard not modified CPU.
Can anybody tell me if that is compatible with my MB?

Have a look here. Click on "desktops" and enter the two OPNs you listed into the search box. That will tell you everything about the chip, stepping, model number, etc. Then use that information on ASUS's website to see if it will work.
