:? If you looked in the Overclocking CPU forum (Who would've thought?) you'd see a Sticky titled P4 Overclocking Guide.

Hey smarty pants, that does me no good because the BIOS utility supplied by Sony for my RB43 are very limited....

Unless you bought your PC from a company like Voodoo or AlienWare the odds are against you being able to overclock your PC.

Its a Sony. And they don't let you overclock with their original BIOS.

I have a 3 year old Vaio desktop that has a P4 Prescott core, it has an ASUS motherboard that is identical to a retail ASUS board that has decent overlclocking abilities, I know it is possible to flash the BIOS to the retail version of the BIOS and unlock its overclocking abilities, I've been too lazy to try it but it might be possible for you depending on what motherboard you have...

Crack open your case and figure out what model of motherboard you have, then google it. It will probably be one digit off of the retail version of the board, chances are if it is almost the same as the retail model someone has tried to flash the BIOS and overclock it and may have instructions on how to do it. This is very risky business though and you could render your motherboard useless and will certainly void your warranty so I wouldn't try it unless you consider your comptuer a science project.
