Sorry if repost, have searched and could not find answer.

I have Vista Business and installed it on SATA1 160 GB drive while waiting for my new SATA2 320 GB, when arrived I swapped in the new HD and re-installed Vista Business and re-activated.

Now I get message that activation key already in use, please enter different one or buy a new one.

What can I do? Advice appreciated.

Love google, found thread on this topic on MS's forum's which said:

Please visit www.microsoft.com/genuine and click Validate Windows - that should resync the WGA Validation files. Afterward, restart your computer.

This successfully re-activated my Vista Business, fingers crossed.

Well that didn't work, 1 day later, same message pops up that "Activation Key Already In Use" again.

This time tried "Activate By Phone", phoned numberd, gave numbers on screen to computer which said sorry but alreday acivated, connecting you with a live person !

Told my story and she saw original online Validation on first harddisk gave me new numbers that I typed onto my screen and she said now validated but if any problem please call back +1-888-571-2048, option 1 (I'm in US).

We'll see, what a saga.
