Heyall.

I've been looking for a router to split my home internet connection between my two PC's, but I've been unable to find an affordable alternative that's actually available here in Sweden and with good enough throughput.

So I'm wondering - is it possible to simply hook up my two computers to a switch, connect that to the broadband line and all will be fine and dandy?

You would need multiple public IP addresses to use a switch. Chances are you only have 1 if its home service.

You will need a router, which will take that one address and then hand out more to your 2 computers so they can share the internet.

Switch & router are completely different hardware devices.
