Need Some Advice....

Looking to upgrade my processor on a 4 year old system. Possibilities include a P4 Extreme Edition 3.4G #SL7CH and a P4 Hyper Thread 3.4G Northwood #SL793. I'm installing into an Intel D865GBF board.

It seems that the Northwood is in much higher demand and selling for higher prices than the extreme chip. I'm confused as to why that is. Can anybody explain what advantages the Northwood would have? Or is there a problem with the Extreme that I'm not aware of?

Any information would be appreciated.

Err, with the prices of todays current gen chips being what they are, and mobo prices being pretty good, I don't see why you would even consider upgrading your old processor to a netburst chip, it's not even worth it.
