In my oppinion we can't compare car manufacturers to semiconductor comapnies. They are totally different markets.

n. The territory or government of a German state, as the Holy Roman Empire, or First Reich, from 962 to 1806; the German Empire, or Second Reich, from 1871 to 1919; the Weimar Republic, from 1919 to 1933; or the Third Reich, from 1933 to 1945.

From this definition, we can conclude that Hector's Reich basically translates to Hector's Empire. Actually it is kind of appropriate since AMD's production is based pretty much entirely in Germany.

If you haven't read the original post, you should do so. He makes some very good points.

Seriously, unless you have a serial number tatooed on your forearm, I really can't see why you are getting so worked up over this.
