no signal to monitor

Hello ,I just put toghter a new computer and monitor gets no signal,vc is evga 8800gtx there tech support said since i didn't hear a beep from computer it may be a motherboard issue.I don't see a speaker on board or in case.Any idea how to tell which one may be my issue ?
gigabyte ga965p ds3 r.3.3 ,evga 880gtx,4 g xms 6400,c2d e6600,320g ,coomax 600w p/s,wd hd,thanks for any help you may have

do you have any extra computers lying around? trade out the gfx card with another one. if possible. see if a friend has another one laying or that you can borrow or an extra motherboard that your could put your 8800 into just make sure the PS has enough power.

i don't know if this matters but does the onboard video card work?

if the other gfx card works then its your 8800 most likely. if it doesn't work then its probably your motherboard.

i'm also not sure if all cases come with the plug in so if something is wrong it either blinks or beeps. i think mine does.

have you contacted the mobo manufacture?
