I know I have another similar post about PC cases, but my list of cases changes like every freak'n second lol Anyway, what I thought was going to be the most enjoyable and laid back part of building my own PC has become the most tedious and frustrating task.

Which PC case should I pick?! Not saying I have a plethora of choices I'm just drooling over, but I honestly just don't know quality apart from crap with all the opinions etc. out there. So I thought I would reorganize my thoughts as follows:

I need a PC case that is:

- Full Tower - preferrably silver

- Sturdy and of great quality (a given for everyone I know)

- Plenty of ventelation

- A side panel window to see through*

- Is setup well enough for a water cooling unit to be installed (considering the tubing etc.)(I like Gigabyte's 3D Aurora 570 because it has wholes in the back mean't for tubing, but it's only mid-tower).

- Plenty of "breathing" room once all PC components are installed - room, room, room heh

And now, I believe I have it narrowed down to 3 manuafactorers: Cooler Master, Lian Li or Thermaltake (please tell me if there is one of a different manuafactorer that seems to fit the list I've provided).

Thanks all for your help

I would suggest my Cooler Master if it wasn't for the window need.

What's the deal with these Lian Li cases? One of my local computer shops has a huge list of them, and some of them are extremely expensive (you can get 3 Antec P182s for the price). Does anybody have any idea why?

I just recieved a black version of the Thermaltake Armor with the 25cm side fan.

There's also the same thing without the fan (Right Here).

They're both the same as mine, only aluminum (LOTS lighter) and silver. It's an absolutely massive case (I think 22 inches high), and its got the tubing holes in the back. Mesh front (has dust filters), and comes with 4 or five fans. I haven't filled it up yet, but I have no doubts that it's going to have lots of room left over. It costs some money, but I highly recommend it.

Is Thermaltake's Mozart a good pick? Has it received mostly good feedback?

From what I've learned, there are some cool looking custom Lian Li's, but those are pretty expensive (don't really know why), and the CM Stakers, yet to me, when looking at the interior, it doesn't look so roomy because of all the expansion bays, which take up the whole right side.

The Mozart looks different, but man! look at all the ventelation it offers, plus the room.

Anyone?

Because they're fkn great.

My Lian-Li only cost $120 AUS which would be somewhere around $100 in US, so it's pretty cheap but still exceptional quality.
I didn't want a side window or bezel door or anything fancy or flimsy I just wanted a good looking sturdy 100% aluminum case and I got it :) .

Really well thought out to, like there's a 120mm fan on the front but only an 80mm on the back, why? Because a 120mm on the back combined with the PSU fan would mean way more air is being sucked out than pushed in which is what I like to technically refer to as un-rad.

Great cases if you got the mulo for them and they're highly regarded amongst enthusiasts.

how about a windowed p180? :D

http://www.performance-pcs.com/cat [...] ts_id=3304

also, since you want a watercooling setup, you could spring for the p182 SE (i guess a shiny mirror coating could be considered silver, eh?)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811129026

since you don't really have a budget you could tack on one of those windowed side doors from performance pcs, and bingo....a functional case that has a little bit of flash...and is quiet!

Well it's not silver, but the Antec 900 is a pretty nice case. Lots of room, plenty of cooling. I put my boys computer together using it. Was even tempted to give them my case and keep the 900 for myself, but I didn't have enough time to build their system and re-build mine too.
