Ok so I have decided to switch to Intel. Here is my final config:

Antec P180B

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology) 320GB 7200 RPM SATA

XFX PVT73GUGF3 GeForce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail

Antec SmartPower 2.0 SP-500 ATX12V 500W Power Supply - Retail

A-DATA 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 Conroe 2.13GHz LGA 775 Processor

Anyone see any compatibility issues? I plan to start with XP on this and then transition to Vista soon. I also want to through a TV tuner in later

Switch the Antec SmartPower to either an Antec TruePower or one of the good FSP units from Newegg.

I know the SmartPower is on sale for only $40 now, but it is not worth it.

Completely different construction. Cheap vs. well made.
The TruePower also comes with undervolt molex fan-only headers for quiet system operation. Check out the power supply section in this forum if you need more info.
