What is the best card I could use with my psu (300w +12v 19a) I have WinVista AMD X2 4200+ 1024mb DDR2-533 GeForce Onboard 6150LE. I would love to use a 8600GT or 7600GT but they say I need a 350w but I have +12v 19a and they require 18a so idk what to do. Thanks if ya help :D

I have PCI-E btw :) ...

So that extra psu thing... it should power a 7900GS? Cause I have a 200$ budget and that thing you listed is 50$ and the 7900GS is 150$ so that should work? Also whats a 5.25 bay? A hdd or cd slot? cause I got a few open

Someone said onanother forum "those imho are just temporary solutions to a power problem, its better to get a beefier power supply on the get-go and not have to deal with future power issues later on" what are bad about them? :(

Those are the same folks who would never consider a DIY dual power supply mod, a multi-PSU system is perfectly fine when implemented correctly. In all honesty, it is the only way to have true rail-isolation so in that respect it is more stable than a single PSU with multiple rails.

I have heard the FUD as well, they will tell you the temps will increase and melt your system... I measured a shuttle system I used that TT 250w in and the temp increase was only 1C at most. Maybe they were talking about a system that has no exhaust at all? At least I can say I have tried it and have not experienced that particular situation. Maybe you can ask them what experience they have had w/ add-on GPU PSUs, 9 times out of 10 it will be "none". Not to mention, it sure looks cleaner than what I can do from a pair of old PSUs
