My set up is three computers. The connections are:
Primary desktop WinXPProSP2 - Cat5e to D-link wireless 802.11g router;
Laptop WinWMCE4 & Secondary desktopWinXPProSP2 - 802.11g wireless to D-link;
D-link to Cisco DSL router to world.
All three set up in sinlge workgroup.
External USB 2.0 HD on primary, My Documents, My Music & an albums folder are shared out on primary.
Laptop and secondary have My Documents & My Music shared.
All shared folders & drives have full permissions (Level 5 per MS)
Now the problem.
The laptop and secondary can see and access each other and the primary can see and access the laptop & secondary. The only folder on the primary that can be accesses is the albums folder. No other shared folders on the primary nor the USB drive can be accessed. They can be seen, but attempts to access tehm result in an error message that usually says:
"\\computer\My Music is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you access permissions.
Not enough server storage is available to process this command."
The albums folder is on a second partition on a second hard drive. The printer on the primary is fully accessible by all three machines. Both Zone Alarm and the D-link are configured to allow the IP addresses to have access. I've tried reconfiguring the network with and without Zone Alarm & Norton System works running, in safe mode and in normal mode. Nothing. The only changes made to the primary have been the Windows updates as the network used to work just fine.
